 Uttarakhand Forest Department gives unique green salute to Galwan braves

On the occasion of India's 74th Independence Day, 20 samplings were planted in the name of the soldiers killed in the Galwan clash. The entire portion of Haldwani's biodiversity park, which is now adorned by local vegetation and plants, has been named after the martyrs of Galwan Valley by the Uttarakhand Forest Department.

Giving a unique green salute to the 20 Indian soldiers killed in the Galwan clash, the Uttarakhand Forest Department has dedicated a section of Haldwani's biodiversity park to the martyrs and named it 'Galvan Shaheed Vatika'.

On the occasion of India's 74th Independence Day, 20 samplings were planted in the name of the soldiers killed in the Galwan clash. The entire portion of Haldwani's biodiversity park, which is now adorned by local vegetation and plants, has been named after the martyrs of Galwan Valley by the Uttarakhand Forest Department.

Uttarakhand Forest Department's Research Head Sanjeev Chaturvedi said that the garden is the department's gesture honour the martyrdom of 20 Indian soldiers.

A poster has also been put up near the signboard in the garden that shows Lord Rama shooting an arrow at the dragon,

The area will be soon opened for the public.

Twenty Indian soldiers were killed in a violent clash with Chinese troops in Ladakh's Galwan Valley in mid-June.

Earlier, to honour 40 CRPF personnel killed in Pulwama terror attack, "Pulwama Shaheed Vatika" was also prepared.
